When working with Odyssey, you have the option to post payments, credits, and charge reductions to a case, post miscellaneous
payments, and post registry trust deposits. After a payment is posted, the transaction can be accessed again for viewing.
Payment transactions may also be reversed or voided.
Fees can be added during the life of the case. After fees are added to a case, an account is created, and parties or others
involved with the case are expected to
post payments on this account. The balance due for these fees can be reduced through credits and charge reductions. Search for cases with
financial activity using the
Find an Account option in the navigation menu.
Miscellaneous payments are payments not associated with a specific case or party. Since case fee payments are added from a selected case, Odyssey
provides another way to enter and maintain miscellaneous payments. Post miscellaneous payments through the
Take a Misc. Payment option on the navigation menu, from your current till, and through receipt search results.
When posting payments, you can choose to save the payment and print a receipt or save the payment without printing a receipt.
Similar pages and dialog boxes are used for posting and viewing registry trust deposits.
