Case Assignment Reasons | Indicates why a case was reassigned to a different administrative ownership location or judicial assignment, such as change of venue or judicial conflict. | Prevent Reassignment of Recused / Removed Judicial Officers – Select this check box to only allow a manual reassignment of the judicial officer to a case when the judicial officer has been removed using this reason code. |

Case File Location/Custody | Indicates where a case file can be moved and who can take custody of it. Case Flags | Indicates a special circumstance, such as when a case is put on a fast track. Each type of case can have its own set of case flags from which to choose. | Flag Icon – From the drop-down list, select the icon to associate with this case flag code.
Flag Description – From the drop-down list, select the flag color to associate with this case flag code.
Message – Select this check box, and type a message to include when this case flag code is used.
Play System Beep – Select this check box to play a sound when a case with this case flag code is accessed.
Show Message in Warning Dialog – Select this check box to display the message, as added in the Message field, in a warning dialog box.

Case Number Formats | Indicates the format the system will use if automatically assigning case numbers to case types. Each case type can have a unique case number format. | Case Number Format Fields |
Case Number ID Pool | Indicates the ID pool the system will use when automatically assigning case numbers. The case number can contain many different components, but all case numbers must contain a number. You can use a different pool of numbers for each case type (for example, one for civil cases, and one for probate cases), or you can create one pool of numbers from which all case numbers are assigned. | Number ID Pool Fields |
Case Security Groups | Indicates the rights certain users have in connection with a case type. Certain cases need to be secured (for example, adoption cases), and you can set security so only users with specific rights can access them. These security groups can be associated with specific case types. Case Sub Types | Indicates a more specific definition of a case type, in conjunction with the case type selected.
