Job Queue
For some reports and jobs within Odyssey, you have the option to click Submit (ALT+U) or Schedule (ALT+H). These options allow you to send reports and jobs to the job processor where they are immediately processed when a server is available (submitted), or at a specified time (scheduled). When they are run, jobs such as reports or monthly processes are placed into the queue while they wait for a server to process them. Unless a job is placed on hold, all of the jobs listed on the Job Queue page will be processed as soon as a server is available.
The table on the Job Queue page displays all of the jobs that are waiting to be processed or are currently being processed. The job ID, description, status, and priority are displayed for each job in addition to the user who sent it to the processor.
Click a job to view the job details. If Image is displayed beside the job, click the job to view the batch job details.
The following options are available on the Job Queue page.

Right-click Options
Right-click Option Description
Update Priority When a job is sent to the queue, it may have been assigned a priority. If the job has a status of "hold" or "pending," you can use the Update Priority option to change the order in which the job will be processed.
Hold Use this option to place a temporary stop on a job that is pending. A held job is still listed on the Job Queue page, but it will not be run until it is released. After a job is placed on hold, Image is displayed in the Status column of the job table.
Release This option is only available when a job is placed on hold (i.e., has Image in the Status column). Click it to release a job that has been held. This allows the job to be picked up by a server and processed.
Cancel If you do not want a job to run anymore, select this option. The job will then stop when it reaches a break in the processing. This is the recommended way to stop jobs in the queue.
View Parameters If the system used additional dialog boxes and other options when processing the job, this link is available. Click it to access the View Job Parameters dialog box.
View Messages Jobs can have several types of messages attached to them. An error does not have to occur when the job was processed for messages to be attached. Select this option to access the View Job Messages dialog box.
