There are times when one or more users must be selected. The list of all available users is displayed on the Select Users dialog box.
If you can select multiple users, select the check box beside the users you want to include. Otherwise, click the user to
select.
Other selection features on this dialog box include the following:
|
• |
Show Selected Users Only shows only users that are selected when you can select multiple users. Clear the check box to display all users again. The
lower right corner of the dialog box displays the total number of users and the number of pages (e.g., Page 2 of 4). These
numbers change according to how the list of users is sorted. |
|
• |
Select All (ALT+L) selects all the users in the list if you can select multiple users. Click Clear All (ALT+L) to clear all the check boxes. |
|
• |
Next (ALT+N) displays the next set of users. |
|
• |
Back (ALT+B) returns to the previous set of users. |
Searching for a User
Search for a specific user by completing the User ID, First Name, or Last Name fields. When searching by user name, the complete ID must be entered. Partial first and last name searches may be performed
using wildcards. Type the first few letters of the name and then an asterisk (e.g., Mi*). There is no minimum number of letters required when using a wildcard. Click Search (ALT+S) to perform the search.
Click Search (ALT+R) to locate matching users. Get All Users (ALT+G) retrieves the complete user list again.
Sorting the List of Users
Choose a preferred sort order from the Sort drop-down list at the top of the dialog box. Sort users alphabetically by the first name, last name, or user ID. Users may
also be sorted in reverse order.
The User List drop-down list sorts users who are part of a selected group (e.g., all front counter clerks, cashiers). User lists are setup
and maintained by the system administrator.
