Posting Credits

Credits are transactions that reduce the balance due, but they do not affect escrow on a case. Credits may be issued to people who have served jail time, been in treatment, or worked off part or the entire amount due. A credit can also be issued if part or the entire amount due is being waived.

To post a credit:

Access the Add a Credit dialog box by clicking

from the following places within Odyssey:

•

From the Balances view or the Transactions view of a case’s Financial tab

•

From the account Search Results page after marking accounts

•

From a party’s Financial tab

•

When adding or modifying payment plans

Enter the appropriate information in the credit transaction fields displayed.

Click Save (ALT+S).
