Fee Rule Fields
Complete the following fields to enter the details of a fee rule when setting up or modifying a fee code.
Fee Rule Detail
Field Name Field Description
Code Type a code to use for this fee rule.
Description Type a description of this fee rule.
Base On From the drop-down list, select whether the fee rule functionality is based on the transaction date or the file date.
Amount Detail
Field Name Field Description
Start Date Enter the date when the fee rule becomes active.
Assess Per From the drop-down list, select when the fee rule should be assessed As Needed, Once Per Case, Once Per Party, Per Transaction, or Per Type of Party.
Calculate Amount To Assess Using Select how to calculate the amount for a fee rule on a fee code. The following options are available:
•  If you select Fixed, type the fixed fee amount in the Amount fields.
•  If you select Program, choose a program to use with this fee rule from the drop-down list.
•  If you select Ask User, a prompt is displayed when this fee rule is initiated on the fee code.
