| Style |
The name of a case is determined by the style entered in the Style field on the Detail tab.
You can type the style directly in the space provided and click
for additional space. The style is displayed at the top of each case tab, and any changes you make are immediately reflected
on the case tabs.

| Auto Style | Select this check box to use a style determined by system settings. If this check box is selected, the Style field is disabled. |
| Field Name | Field Description |

| Case Type | You must select a case type before a new case record is displayed. The case type cannot be changed after the new case is saved. |
| Subtype |
Type the appropriate subtype code in the space provided, or select an available subtype from the drop-down list.
You can also place your cursor in the Subtype field, and press F4 to search for and select a subtype code.

| File Date | Enter the date when the case was filed.
If you select a future date, a warning message is displayed.

| Security |
Certain types of cases require higher levels of security. If you want to assign a security flag to the case, type the security
code, or select a security code from the drop-down list.
You can also place the cursor in the Security field, and press F4 to search for and select a security flag code.
