Case Information Fields
Use the fields available at the upper-right corner of the Detail tab to enter basic case information.
The following fields are available:
•  You must select a Case Type before a new case record is displayed; however, you can make changes to this field prior to the initial case save. The case type cannot be changed after the new case is saved.
•  Type the appropriate case Subtype code in the space provided, or select an available subtype from the drop-down list.
•  The File Date field allows you to enter the date that the case was filed in your office. The current date is entered into this field by default, but you can change the date if necessary.
•  The Security field allows you to select a security group for the case. Security groups allow you to restrict access of the case to a specific group of users. A security group may be assigned by default to the case, depending on the case type.
•  If configured, an optional or required Appear By field is displayed below the Filed Date and Security fields.
