Case Type Fields
The Change/View Case Type dialog box, which is launched from theDetail tab of a case record, allows you to change the current case type and its settings. Complete the following fields to change a case type.

Field Name Field Description
Case Type
From the drop-down list, select the new case type.
Auto Update Style
Select this check box to automatically update the case type to reflect the case type change.
Sub-Type
From the drop-down list, select the subtype for the case.
File Date
Click Image to select a new file date for the case, if necessary. The original file date is displayed in this field.
Security
From the drop-down list, select a security type for the case.
Reason
From the drop-down list, select a reason for the case type change.
Comment
Type any additional comments related to the case type change.
Note: You can select an existing case type in the Case Type section of the case Detail tab to open the View Case Type dialog box. The fields on the View Case Type dialog box are read-only.
