Tokens are specific pieces of database information that are automatically merged into the document when the form is accessed
and printed from a case. After you have created a form, you can use tokens from the database to pull information into the
Microsoft Word documents.
Tokens are placeholders that dictate where Microsoft Word inserts the data from your database. You can merge data such as
owner names, addresses, case IDs, and other information specific to the document you are working with.
After you have
created a form, you can use tokens from the database to pull information into the Microsoft Word documents. Different forms have different
tokens available depending on which type of form was accessed. The form types include civil, criminal, family, probate, hearing
notice, warrant, write, and judgment.
The tokens available for the document form are displayed on the left side of the Odyssey window where the navigation menu
is usually displayed.
Token Types
The following types of tokens are used in Odyssey.
Token Type |
Description |
Single-value |
If only one value is stored for each data record, the token is considered to be a single-value token. |
Multi-value |
Multi-value tokens occur when more than one value, or instance, could be entered for a data record. For more information on
token values, click here.

Different token types allow different token parameters. Click
here for more information on token parameters.
Data values are stored and associated with one another. When the form is merged, all available information returned from the
database is separated with a semicolon. With tokens, you can create tables that automatically expand to fit the associated
case information.
Token Help is also available and includes name, description, and parameters for the given token.
