Case Charges Tab

Defendants on a case can have one charge or multiple charges, and each charge (e.g., assault) can have one or more additional statutes associated with it (e.g., with a deadly weapon).

Charges Tab Options

The following options are available:

Option Name	Option Description
File Case	This link is only displayed when a Pre-File Case is automatically created in Case Manager from an arrest saved in Jail Manager, the case will not have a case filing offense phase since an indictment has not yet been officially filed. This link only displays for case types configured by the TX-El Paso Pre-File Case Configuration feature. Please contact your system administrator for more information on this feature.
Amend	If an official change is made to the charge, amend the information. If a mistake was made while entering charge data, modify the charge instead.
Transfer	Transfer or copy charges.
Renumber	Assign different numbers to charges.
Citation	Add citation records to existing charges.
Maintain Charge Details	Maintain charge details. Use this option if a mistake was made while entering charge data. If an official change was made to the charge, amend the information instead.

Right-click Options

Option Name	Option Description
Delete Arrest	Right-click the arrest link to delete the arrest.
Delete Case Filing	Right-click the case filing link to delete the case filing.
Link Citation	Right-click the charge record and select Link Citation to link a citation to the charge.
Copy Charge	Right-click the charge record, and select Copy Charge to copy the charge.
