Viewing Payments, Credits, and Charge Reductions
After you post a payment, credit, or charge reduction transaction, you can access that transaction to view its information. This information is read-only, and you cannot make changes to the transaction.
To view payments, credits, and charge reductions:
1. Access the Transactions view of a case Financial tab, and click the appropriate transaction.
2. View the payment, credit, or charge reduction fields displayed.
3. The following options may be available.
Option Description
Reprint Receipt (ALT+R) Displayed for payment transactions. Click to reprint the receipt for the payment transaction. Odyssey automatically sends the receipt information to the default receipt printer. Reprinted receipts are denoted with “Reprinted Receipt.”
Revalidate (ALT+D) Displayed if the collection station is setup for a slip validation printer and if this is a payment transaction. If a check, or other type of payment slip, must be revalidated with the payment transaction information, this calls up the Printing dialog box.
Save (ALT+S) Click if the transaction is being moved to a different till.
Void (ALT+V) Displayed for payment transactions. As long as the payment has not been deposited (along with the associated till), then the payment may be voided. This process takes the monies out of the till amount total.
Reverse (ALT+V) Displayed if the payment has already been deposited (along with the associated till) or if the transaction is a credit or charge reduction. This process creates a reversal transaction that (effectively) cancels out the effects of the original transaction.
