Task Detail
If you need to know more about a specific task, click a task to view the Task Detail page. The Task Detail page includes notes, related information, and related documents.
 
Task Detail Information
The information on each task can vary based on the task type. The Task Detail page may include the following information for each task:
•  Document page count
•  Status
•  Queue
•  Priority
•  Due date
•  User assigned to the item
•  Date created
•  Labels applied
Click Start to open the task item in the Document Viewer.
Note: Clicking Start assigns the task to the current user.
Task Detail Options
When you access the Task Detail page for a specific task, you may notice differences between the options and information available for active tasks compared to completed tasks. Namely, completed tasks are read-only, and no editing is allowed.
Two task detail options are available for active tasks.
Option Description
Start / Pending / Pause
Note: These options are not available for completed tasks.

One or more of the following options may be available:
•  Click Start to begin working the task.
Note: Odyssey opens the document in the Document Viewer and assigns the task to the current user.
•  Click Pending to update the task.
•  Click Pause to update the task.
Edit Click Edit to edit the task details, including the description, priority, and due date.
Notes
The Notes section displays all notes related to the task. When more than one note is associated with the task, the View More option is available.
The following option is available in the Notes section.
Option Description
Add Note Click this button to add a new note to the task.
Related Information
The Related Information section displays information about the case that is related to the task. The information displayed varies depending on the task and may include the following details:
•  Case number with a link to the case
•  Party data with a link to the party record
•  Court
•  Charges
•  Related case information
•  Judge
•  Transfer date
•  Comments
Note: Click the case or party link in the Related Information section to display the case or party record in the Main Work Area.
Related Documents
Use the Related Documents section to add and view related documents.
Note: When a related document is open in the Document Viewer, then the open item is highlighted with an arrow Image in the Related Documents section.
The options are available in the Related Documents section are dependant on the document types available.
Option Description
Relate Documents Click this button to add a new document to relate to this task.
Sign Click this button next to the associated document to apply signatures or initials to the document.
Tag Click this button next to the associated document to tag the document for signing.
View Click this button next to the associated document to view the document in the image viewer.
Task History
The Task History section displays the following details about the history of the selected task:
•  Status
•  Assignee
•  Date and time task was last run
Note: Based on the Task Queue Path configured for the Document Type code, the Task History section is updated to display the document path the task is currently on.
The following options are available in the Task History section.
Option Description
Search history... Use this free-text field to search for a specific task.
View n More Items Click this button to view additional task history items.
Actions
Several actions are available when you are viewing the task detail. The options that are displayed may vary based on the task.
Note: The actions that are available are defined by your rights, your roles, the workflow, and the task type.
The following options are available only for items sent to the queue through the Batch Scan feature, or that you sent by right-clicking Send to Queue on the Documents tab.
Option Description
Move Select this option to move the task to another queue.
Assign Select this option to assign the task to another user.
Next Select this option to work the next task in the queue.
Next / Send Select this option to work the next task in the queue and to select the queue or path to where the current task should be sent.
Skip Select this option to skip the current task.
Skip / Send Select this option to skip the current task and to select the queue or path to where the current task should be sent.
Delete Select this option to delete the current task.
Complete Select this option to mark the task as complete.
Additional actions are available by clicking the arrow.
