Odyssey is designed to help you easily identify mistakes and potential errors, while assisting you with navigation to the
data in error in order to correct it. Errors may occur when a required field is not completed or when information is entered
using an improper format. For example, an error is displayed when entering an incorrect letter in a date field. When these
types of errors occur, Odyssey is designed to notify the user. In such instances, the user is not allowed to save the data
and continue on to the next page or dialog box until all errors have been corrected.
When Odyssey detects an error, the field where the error occurs turns red, so you can quickly locate the field and make the
necessary changes. After the field is revised, the color returns to normal.
Messages are also displayed at the bottom of the page or dialog box to notify the user of errors.
If an error occurs on a page in Odyssey, the Product Message Alert button in the lower-right corner of the Odyssey shell (
) changes to red (
). Click the button to view and hide the message list.
Regardless of which case tab you are on, you will be navigated to the field in error so you can correct the mistake by performing
one of the following actions:

Use F3 to navigate through each error and SHIFT + F3 to navigate backwards through each error |
When you click one of the error messages at the bottom of the page or dialog box, the system indicates the field where the
error occurs, so you can make the necessary changes. As the errors are corrected, the messages are removed from the list.
