When working with number ID pools, you can select the next number for each number ID pool you create.
Starting Type Number ID
Each ID pool you set up must have a starting number, which is assigned to the first item that uses this ID pool. The numbers
are then assigned to items in sequential order.
In the Next Type Number ID blank, type the number that you want to assign to the first item that uses this pool of numbers. You can enter up to eight
digits, and you should include all the necessary zeros. If you want to start numbering with 1, but you want to use all eight
digits, you should type 00000001 as the starting number.
Restarting Annually
After an ID pool is set up, you can continue to assign numbers from that pool without restarting the numbering every year.
However, if you want to begin with the starting case number ID every year, select the Restart Numbering Annually check box.
