Financial Group Fields
Complete the following fields to maintain financial groups.
Financial Detail
Field Name Field Description
Description Type the description of the financial group.
Interest Begins Enter the date when interest should begin accruing. If a date is selected, the Rate field is required.
Rate/Rate Compound Type If a date was selected in the Interest Begins field, this field is required. Type a percentage rate value for interest.
The field for rate compound type is located to the right of the Rate field and it is not labeled. The following options are available from this drop-down list: Annually, Monthly, and Daily. This field is required when a rate is entered in the Rate field.
From the drop-down list select whether to use a fixed or a variable rate.
Interest Type Select whether the interest should be calculated as simple or compound. From the drop-down list, select whether the interest should accrue on a daily, monthly, or annual basis.
Accrued Through This field contains the last date that the interest was assessed and when a payment process was begun. This field is editable with the appropriate user rights enabled.
Till If you are currently logged on to a till, that till is displayed here. If not logged on to a till, this field is blank. Click Image to sign on to a till.
Pause the mouse pointer on the till information to display a tooltip showing the cashier ID, if one exists, and a description of the collection station.
Comment Type notes or comments related to the record. Click Image for additional space. Click Image to check the spelling of the text entered.
Fee Schedule Table
The following columns and options are available for the fee schedules selected for the financial group.
Field Name Field Description
Fee Schedule/Fee Contains the fee schedules and fees associated with the financial group.
Click Image to view the individual fees within a fee schedule. To hide the individual fees, click Image.
If the fee has joint and several liability, Image is displayed beside the description.
Balance Displays the balance for each fee schedule and fee.
Recipients Contains recipient data for the individual fees.
Data entered on the Financial Groups dialog box becomes the most current data and overwrites existing data both on the Modify Financial Group dialog box and in the Enter Fee Detail dialog box. Conversely, data entered in to the Edit Fee Detail dialog box overwrites the recipients’ data on to Financial Group dialog box.
Click Image to select a case party as the recipient.
ClickImage to find a recipient.
Click Image to copy the recipient information to all blank of the fields below it.
Pay Off Detail
The Pay Off Detail section is used to calculate a payoff amount. A table containing the breakdown of fees and balance due is displayed at the bottom of this section.
Field Name Field Description
Total By This field has a drop-down list with three options that determine how fees and interest are calculated.
Select Fee Codeto provide the balance of each fee code for all fee schedules. Interest is calculated as if a payment were made on the As Of date. The Balance Due is calculated based on the sum of all fee codes including interest.
Select Fee Schedule to provide the balance of each fee schedule. Interest is calculated as if a payment were made on the As Of date and is included in the fee schedule balance. The Balance Due is calculated based on the sum of all fee schedules including interest.
Select Fee Schedule with Fee Codes to provide the balances of each fee schedule, including a balance of each fee code in the fee schedule. Interest is calculated as if a payment were made on the As Of date and is displayed on the appropriate fee schedule balance and as an individual fee code. The Balance Due is calculated based on the sum of all fee schedules including interest.
As Of Enter the date when the payoff amount should be calculated. Only a current or future date can be selected for this field.
Calculate (ALT+C) Click to calculate the payoff detail after you have entered the necessary information.
Interest Stays Table
The Interest Stays table allows you to maintain interest stays that exist on the financial group. The table includes the interest stay, the reason, and the restart date for the interest.
Interest stays cannot be added on the financial group if the interest begins date is not added to the financial group.
Right-click Options
Right-click Option Field Description
Delete Right-click a recipient or interest stay and select Delete to remove the record from the financial group.
