Code and Description
Field Name Field Description
Show This Code for Location Select this check box to enable the code for the selected location.
Code The code word you previously entered is displayed here, but you can enter a different code if needed. If you enter a code word that has already been assigned to another code, a warning message is displayed as codes must be unique.
Code words can contain numbers and uppercase or lowercase letters. You can also include periods, dashes, underscores, or parentheses. The word ALL cannot be included in the code word, regardless of case.
Description Type a description for the code.
Effective Information

Effective Date If the code should not become available until a later date, enter that date in this field.
Obsolete Date If the code ever becomes obsolete (meaning it is no longer used) or will become obsolete at some point in the future, enter an obsolete date.
The code is considered to be inactive when it reaches the obsolete date and remains obsolete until the date is removed or changed to a future date. When a code is made obsolete, it is no longer accessible to the users and cannot be selected.

Exhibit ID is required
Select this check box to make an exhibit ID required on the Detail tab for this exhibit type.
If either the Exhibit ID Format or the Exhibit ID Pool field is populated, this check box is automatically selected and the Exhibit ID field displays as "System Generated" on the exhibit Detail tab.
The assumption is that if the exhibit ID is configured to be a system-generated ID, then it will always be required.
If the check box is selected but the Exhibit ID Format or the Exhibit ID Pool field is not populated, then the Exhibit ID field on the exhibit Detail tab is a required text field.
If the check box is not selected, then the Exhibit ID field on the exhibit Detail tab is an optional text field.
Exhibit ID Format From the drop-down list, select the exhibit ID format to be used for this exhibit type.
Exhibit ID Token Type the five-character token used to populate the exhibit ID token component.
Exhibit ID Pool From the drop-down list, select the exhibit ID pool to be used for this exhibit type.
