Amending Judgments
Users with the appropriate rights can select the Judgment option on the Dispositions tab to view and amend judgments that have been entered previously.
To amend a judgment:
1. Find a case.
2. Select the Dispositions tab.
3. Click Judgment in the Disposition Detail header.
Note: Any existing judgments are listed under the Disposition Detail header. Additionally, cause of action details (e.g., cause, filed date, action type description, any remedy sought) are displayed as well if any exist.
4. Click Amend Judgment to amend an individual judgment. If multiple judgments have been entered, the Select Judgment to Amend dialog box is displayed. Select the judgment to amend.
5. Click Add.
After selecting the components, additional fields are displayed for each judgment.
6. Complete the amend judgment fields and the component fields.
7. Click Continue (ALT+C).
When amending a judgment, click Clear (ALT+L) to clear all the judgment components that were entered previously. After the judgment information is cleared and new data is entered, click Load (ALT+L) to re-load the previous judgment. Selecting Load always loads the previous judgment information, not necessarily the original judgment.
