Adding Party Connections
Parties, such as plaintiffs, defendants, respondents, are added to a case through the case Parties tab. After a party is added into Odyssey, that party can be linked to multiple cases.
To add or connect a party to a case:
1. Find a case, and access the Parties tab.
2. Click Add a Party (ALT+A) in the Party & Attorney Information header.
3. Verify the connection type and select a new one if needed.
The party connection defines how the party is related to the case. Select one of the options to determine the connections available in the Connection field.
•  Select Configured Types to list the connection types assigned to the case type.
•  Select All Types to list all connection types available.
4. Use the Connection drop-down list to indicate how the party is connected to the case.
5. Select either Party or Participant.
6. Search for an existing party or add a new party from the Add Party Connection dialog box.
•  Click Image to search for and select a party.
•  Click Add Party to create a party record to connect to this case.
7. Click Save.
