Add Charge Record

The Add Charge Record dialog box is displayed if one of the parties on a case record has a freestanding charge when trying to add a charge to the case record.

Freestanding charges are associated with a bond or warrant that was created prior to the existence of a case. They also are created from an arrest processed in Odyssey Jail Manager. These freestanding charges can be linked to a case.

You cannot select multiple charges if they have different offense dates. You also cannot select charges from different arrests.

Unlinked Charges

This section displays unlinked charges related to the party. The information displayed includes:

Charge number

•

Charge

•

Degree of charge

•

TRN if available

•

Arrest date

•

Case filing date

•

Date of charge

The following options are also available on the Add Charge Record dialog box.

Option	Description
Add New Charge	Click this link to add a new charge.
Exit	Click this button to exit the Add Charge Record dialog box and return to the previous screen.
Next	Click this button after you have selected the charges to link to the case.
