SD Juvenile Supervision Sentence Component Fields
The SD Juvenile Supervision sentence component allows you to enter the supervision type, start date, term, discharge date,
and comments for juvenile supervision sentences.

| Type |
Select the type of supervision for the sentence. Available options include: "Probation," "Case Service Monitoring," "Juvenile
Intensive Probation Program," "Unsupervised," "No Formal Action," "Human Services Center," and "Other."
If you select No Formal Action, Human Services Center, or , Otheronly the Dateand Commentfields are available on the SD Juvenile Supervision component.

| Start |
Type the start date for the supervision sentence, or click
 to select a start date from the calendar.

| Term |
Select this option to specify a term for the supervision sentence. Type the term in the Years, Months, and Days fields.
|
| Indefinite |
Select this option if the juvenile supervision is scheduled to last until the defendant's 21st birthday.

| Discharge |
Select this option to specify a discharge date for the supervision sentence. Type the start date for the supervision sentence,
or click
to select a start date from the calendar.

| Discharge Date |
This field displays the discharge date of the supervision sentence. If a date is specified in theDischarge fields, that date is displayed in the Discharge Date field. If the Term option is selected, the discharge date is calculated based on the information entered in the Startand Term fields.

Type any comments related to the supervision sentence.

Note: The details of the sentence are displayed on theDisposition tab of the case, the View Sentence History dialog box, the View Case Summary dialog box, th eCourtroom Minutes dialog box, and the Public Access Register of Actions for the case.
