IN Monetary Award Judgment Component Fields
The IN Monetary Award judgment component allows you to record monetary awards granted. This judgment component is available for family, civil, and probate case types.
IN Monetary Award Judgment Component Fields
Field Name Field Description
Case Party/Non-Case Party Select whether the monetary judgment was awarded to a case party or a non-case party.
Awarded To If the money was awarded to a non-case party, click Image to search for a party to whom the money was awarded. If the money was awarded to a case party, click Imageto select the case party to whom the money was awarded.
Awarded Against Click Image to select whom the monetary award judgment was against.
Joint & Several Select this check box if the order states Joint and Several liability with multiple parties on the case.
Joint & Several Multi Case Select this check box if the order states Joint and Several liability with multiple parties on other cases. Note: If this check box is left cleared and cases have been previously added via the Joint & Several Cases section, those cases are not retained.
Joint & Several Cases This section is disabled unless the Joint & Several Multi Case check box has been selected. Click Image and complete the joint and several cases fields to add the joint and several cases associated with this judgment.
Signed Enter the date when the judgment was signed.
Expires Enter the date when the judgment expires.
Inactive Enter the date when the judgment becomes inactive.
Reason Select the reason the judgment became inactive.
Satisfied Enter the date when the judgment was satisfied.
Interest Begins Enter the date when the interest should begin. If this date is populated prior to a value being added in the Signed Date field, it does not get updated based on the signed date.
Rate Type the interest rate amount in the first field. Then, from the drop-down list, select the method in which interest is compounded—"Annually," "Daily," or "Monthly.
Include Court Costs Select this check box if the order states that court costs must be paid.
Pre-Judgment Interest Type the pre-judgment interest amount.
Judgment Type the judgment amount.
Attorney Fees Type the amount of attorney fees.
Book Type the book number in the record of judgment and orders book in which this judgment is contained.
Page Type the page number in the record of judgment and orders book in which this judgment is contained.
Book Type the book number for the judgment book in which this judgment is contained.
Page Type the page number for the judgment book in which this judgment is contained.
Comment Type any additional comments related to this judgment.
