When adding a hearing to a case, its settings must be scheduled in correspondence with an existing court session on a court
calendar. Use the Find Court Sessions dialog box to search for available sessions.
The fields at the top of the Find Court Sessions dialog box allow you to enter search criteria for the court sessions you want to find. After you complete the fields, click
Find (ALT+F) to display the results in the Session Search Results section.
Session Search Results
The available court sessions are displayed in the Session Search Results section of the dialog box.
The percent capacity, date, session name, start and end times, judicial officer, calendar, and location the results is displayed
for each session. Pause the mouse pointer on the percent capacity to find out how many hearings and/or how much time is already
scheduled for the session.
If your search returned more than six results, view the additional results by clicking Previous (ALT+P) and Next (ALT+N) in the Session Search Results header. Click the appropriate session to add it to Selected Sessions.
Selected Sessions
Click the sessions under Session Search Results to add them to the Selected Sessions portion of the dialog box.
If the selected session's settings start at the same time as the hearing and the session limit is based on quantity, the session
is immediately moved to the Selected Sessions list. If you can select a time within the session, the Select Time dialog box is displayed.
If the hearing requires multiple settings, you can select as many sessions as you need.
When a session is moved under the Selected Sessions header, each session shows the date and time of the court session you selected as well as the court session's name, calendar,
judicial officer, and location. This information is stored on the hearing record when you click Save (ALT+S). If you can select a time within the session for the setting, the time is displayed as a link. Click this link to
select a different time.
To remove a session from the
Selected Sessions list, click

If you have the right to add hearings to any calendar for any date and time, click
in the header to add an ad hoc hearing. You need to select a hearing
Type before
is displayed.
Next to each session in the Session Search Results is a number that can be used as a hot key. Press ALT and the corresponding number to add it to Selected Sessions.
