Closing Till Instances
Tills are closed to prevent additional transactions from being added when you are balancing the till and entering the deposit. After a till is closed, the fields in the Till Display become view only and cannot be changed.
To close a till instance:
1. Access a till, and click an existing till instance.
2. Click Close Till in the Till Detail header.
3. A warning message is displayed stating that the till should be saved. Click Yes (ALT+Y) to access the Till Closed dialog box.
4. The Till Closed dialog box shows the till that was closed and when it was created. It also prompts you to reconcile the till. Click Yes (ALT+Y) to reconcile the till instance now or No (ALT+N) to reconcile the till later.
5. After you are finished maintaining the till, click Save (ALT+S) to store the new information in the system.
