Closed Till Reconciliation
Tills are reconciled to verify that the amount of money in the till, including cash and card transactions, matches the transactions for that till. A till instance cannot be reconciled while it is still open, so you need to close it. When you close the till instance, you have the option to reconcile the till immediately or at a later time.
The top of the Reconcile Closed Till dialog box displays the till name, when it was created, and who it was assigned to.
When you have finished balancing the Till Breakdown with the Transaction Analysis, select the Reconciliation Complete check box to show that the till is ready to be deposited.
Till Breakdown
In the Till Breakdown section, click Image or click a till breakdown to maintain it, and complete the till breakdown fields.
Transaction Analysis
In the Transaction Analysis section, the system displays the breakdown of transactions taken using the till instance. The transactions are broken down according to the payment method.
Difference
After completing the till breakdown, the system compares the amounts entered to the transaction analysis and displays the difference so you can see if any shortages or overages exist. The total at the bottom of this column shows if the till balanced or if there is an overage or shortage in the till.
