| • | Event The main case event (e.g., Plaintiff’s Original Petition) is listed first, and the service event follows with the issued date.
Click
to view the parties to whom the documents are being served.
If the document is served, the service date displays beside the name. If a response is required, the response due date is
displayed. After the party responds, the response date is also displayed.
|
| • | Person to Serve The person’s name is listed first and all the associated service events display below the name. Click
to close all the event information and view only a list of names. When the information is expanded, the service event displays

|
| Link Name | Link Description |
|---|---|
| Case Event | Click to go directly to the Event dialog box. The selected event is highlighted and the Event Details section displays the information entered on the Events tab when the event was added. |
| Service Event |
Click this link to access the Modify Service Detail dialog box and update the service information.
When a party has a past due response date on a service, you can add a default event on the service for one or more parties
on the Add/Modify Service Detail dialog box. After a service is defaulted, the date of the default displays on the Service tab of the case record and on the Register of Actions in Public Access.
Click
to view or select documents. When the user selects this icon, if there is only one document associated with that event, Odyssey
launches the document viewer with the associated document. If, however, there is more than one document associated with this
event, Odyssey opens the Select Documents dialog box.
|
| Party Name | When the service events are grouped by event, click to view a list of parties to whom the service was issued. Select a specific party name to view and update the service tracking
information. This option is not available when the events are grouped by person to serve.
|
| Defaulted Service |
The defaulted service displays on the Service tab of a case record and on the Register of Actions in Public Access.
Clicking the link opens the defaulted event on the event dialog box. The following right-click options are available on the
default event: Scan Document, Attach Document, Link Document, and Relate Documents.
|
| Option Name | Option Description |
|---|---|
| Modify Service Tracking Detail or View Service Tracking Detail | Click to update tracking details. If the Service Event is deleted, this option changes from Modify to View and the dialog box details are disabled. |
| Print Form | Select a form to print. |
| Scan Document |
Scan a document into electronic format and associate it with the case. This first accesses the Add New Image dialog box to name the new document or image.
Odyssey then continues to the Document Viewer dialog box. If there is a scanner attached, the dialog will be in 'scan' mode.
|
| Attach Document |
Add an existing document into Odyssey and associate it with the case. Accesses the Add Document dialog box for providing a description and defining the type of file. After the information is defined, Odyssey launches
the Open a File dialog box to browse the network and select one, or many documents to attach.
|
| Link Document | Available when the Document Indexing Viewer is currently open or launched. Links the document, currently shown in the viewer, with the service event selected. |
| Relate Document |
Available when there are documents currently associated with the case. Launches the Select Documents dialog box so the user may associate one or many documents with the service event.
|
| Add Response Event | Available when there is a single party on the service and a response has not been made. Opens the event dialog box for adding a response event related to the (original) service event. |
| Add Default Event |
Right-click a served party, and select this option to open the event dialog box, which allows you to add the default service
event. The Add Default Event option is only available for parties that have been served and have a past due response date.
When multiple parties have been served, you can add a default to multiple parties by right-clicking the service link and then
selecting Add Default Event For Multiple Parties.
|
| Delete or Undelete | Removes the event from both the Service and Events tabs.
Users with the appropriate rights may click the Show Deleted Items check box to view deleted information.
After a service event is deleted, users with appropriate rights may right-click Undelete it. Undeleted events display again on both the Service and Events tab.
