Allowing Back and Future Check Dates
When configuring the financial setup for your location, you can indicate whether or not users should be allowed to enter back dates or future dates when entering dates on a disbursement check or receipt. When a user enters a check date, the system performs a validation to determine if the date is appropriate.
To configure back and future dates:
1. Click Fees & Finances or Administration from the navigation menu. Click Configuration in the Financial Setup section, and then click Back/Future Date Configuration.
2. If a user has the right to enter a past date on a receipt, type the number of days before the current date that are allowed.
3. If a user has the right to enter a past or future date for a check, type the number of days that a user can back date and future date checks.
4. If a user has the right to enter a past date on an assessment charge, type the number of days before the current date that are allowed.
5. Click Save (ALT+S).
For example, if you enter 10 in the first field, a user will be able to enter a date 10 days before the current date on a receipt. If a user enters a date that is outside the allowed time frame, a warning will be displayed.
