Adding Protection Orders
A protection order record contains information related to the parties, cautions, and conditions of a protection order.
The tabs made available when maintaining protection orders can be customized based on your location’s needs.
To add a protection order:
1. Access the Add a Protection Order dialog box:
Option Description
From the navigation menu
a. Click Add a Protection Order from the navigation menu.
From a case record
a. Find a case.
b. Access the Protection Orders tab.
c. Click the Image icon in the Protection Orders section.
2. Complete the fields on the Detail tab.
3. Complete the fields on the Additional tab.
4. Click Save.
A free-standing protection order can also be added to a case from the Protection Orders tab of a case record using the Image link icon in the Protection Orders section header. The protection order is added to your system and then added to your case. You can then search for the protection order or access it from a case or party records.
